Pay Range: $44.83 - $66.87/hour

The Role

This role is ideal for a Plumbing Design Engineer who wants to own projects from concept through construction documents and be actively involved in coordination with project and construction teams. You'll design practical, code-compliant plumbing systems and contribute to high-quality project delivery from start to finish.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design commercial plumbing systems from conceptual design through construction drawings
  • Perform plumbing calculations and system layouts for gas piping, waste & vent, domestic water, and kitchen plumbing
  • Ensure designs comply with Building Codes, Energy Codes, and LEED standards
  • Manage multiple small to mid-size projects simultaneously
  • Coordinate with project management, construction teams, controls, and other trades
  • Provide field engineering support, including coordination and troubleshooting as needed
  • Maintain high standards for drawing quality and accuracy
  • Mentor or oversee junior designers when requested

What We're Looking For

  • BS in Engineering or Construction Management
  • 3+ years of experience with a Design/Build mechanical contractor or consulting firm
  • Strong understanding of commercial plumbing systems
  • Excellent knowledge of building codes and industry standards
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
  • PE license preferred, not required

Schedule

  • Monday-Friday
  • Typical hours between 7:00-8:00 AM start / 4:00-5:00 PM end
